UPDATED PREDICTIONS
1) We at FAUXBASEBALL took our lumps with our AL predictions, but made up for it with our NL projections. With these new Final 4 we will project what we believe will take place from here.
2) First in the NL where we are batting 1.000, we predict that the Red Birds will fall easily to the Mets despite the fact that the Mets possess a starting staff that wouldn't scare most little leaguers. Tony LaRussa will under achieve/disappoint yet again
Mets in 5
3) In the surprising AL, the A's and Tigers will be squaring off. We like the A's pitching far more than the 'Bengals'. We can't see 'The Gambler' putting another performance like he did in the ALDS.
A's in 6
4) Which brings us the the Fall Classic. A re-run of 1973 if you will. Only this time it won't be the high flying Charlie Finley Athletics against the Amazing Mets. This time its the geriatric Met pitchers verses the over achieving left coast A's. Even with their pitchers about to be eligible for social security, they will prevail and bring the series back to NY for the first time in 20 years.
